Legal Information
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This page is the legal information notice for FinDraxy.info. It identifies the entity that operates this website, publishes the legal identifiers that must be disclosed to the public under South African law, explains the basis on which you may access and use the site, and directs you to the other policies that govern your relationship with us. It is written for readers, subscribers, competition entrants, contributors and advertisers in the Republic of South Africa, and for visitors elsewhere who choose to read our journalism. It is not marketing copy and it is not a substitute for the specific terms of a subscription, a competition, or an advertising agreement. Where there is a conflict between this page and a signed agreement or a dedicated policy, the specific document prevails and this page should be read as general background only.
1. Identity of the Website Operator and Its Role
The entertainment publication published at this domain, including its editorial content, image galleries, newsletters, blog and associated services, is operated under the name FinDraxy.info. In this notice, the words "we", "us", "our" and "the publisher" mean FinDraxy.info as the operator of this website, and "you" means any person who visits, browses, reads, subscribes to, comments on or otherwise uses the website.
The legal entity that owns and operates this website is [Foschini Retail Group (Pty) Ltd](https://tfgmedia.co.za/terms-and-conditions/), a private company registered in South Africa that conducts its media and publishing activities under the publishing name TFG Media. The company publishes magazine titles and related digital media, including subscription-based print and digital editions. All contracts concluded through this website, including subscriptions, advertising bookings and competition entries, are concluded with that entity and not with any individual editor, contributor, author or freelance journalist.
Where this page refers to "the publisher" or "the operator", it means the company as the legal person responsible for the website. Where it refers to "editorial staff" or "contributors", it means the individuals who produce content for the publication in the course of their employment or under a contributor agreement. Contributors act on the publisher's behalf when producing content for the site, but they are not separately responsible for the website as an operator and they do not conclude contracts with readers in their own names.
2. Legal Form, Registration Details, Tax Identifiers and Responsible Representatives
We publish the following identifiers so that you can identify exactly who you are dealing with, verify our status, and pursue a claim against the correct legal person if the need arises. These identifiers are also the ones that must be disclosed by an electronic commerce supplier under section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
- Registered name: [Foschini Retail Group (Pty) Ltd](https://tfgmedia.co.za/terms-and-conditions/)
- Legal form: private company, incorporated in the Republic of South Africa in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008
- Company registration number: 1988/007302/07
- South African Revenue Service VAT number: 4210187250
- Country of incorporation: Republic of South Africa
- Trading or publishing name used for this website: TFG Media
- Registered office: 23 Morris Street East, Woodmead, Sandton, 2196, South Africa
- Records regulator: Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), South Africa
- Data protection regulator: the Information Regulator (South Africa), established under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013
The directors, officers and company secretary of the registered entity are recorded on the public register maintained by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission and may be inspected there. The company has appointed an Information Officer and a Deputy Information Officer for the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000. Their details are available on request through the contact route described in section 3 below. We do not name individual editors or directors on this page, but we will identify the responsible person within a reasonable time where a query or complaint requires it.
As a magazine and online publisher we do not hold a financial services licence, a credit provider registration, a gambling licence or any similar regulated authorisation, and nothing on this website constitutes the provision of financial, legal, medical or investment advice. Where content touches on regulated industries, it does so for editorial and journalistic purposes only. Print editions distributed by post may, where applicable, be subject to postal registration requirements in terms of the Films and Publications Act 65 of 1996 and postal regulations; digital publication of news and popular culture commentary does not require a broadcasting or press licence in South Africa.
3. Registered Office and Contact Details
Our registered office and principal place of business, which is also the address at which we will accept service of all legal documents and process, is 23 Morris Street East, Woodmead, Sandton, 2196, South Africa. All formal notices, legal process, takedown demands, copyright complaints and consumer complaints should be directed there, or by email to help@findraxy.info.
The website does not publish a telephone number. This is a deliberate choice: enquiries are handled in writing so that there is a proper record of what was asked, when it was asked and what we answered. If you need to raise something urgently, use the contact form on our Contacts page or email help@findraxy.info and mark the subject line clearly, for example "Urgent: copyright complaint", "Subscription query" or "Data subject request".
We aim to acknowledge written enquiries within five business days and to provide a substantive response within thirty days, unless the law allows or requires a different period. Requests made under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 and requests made by a data subject under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 are handled under the procedures in our PAIA and POPIA manual and may take longer where the request is complex or where a third party must be consulted first.
4. Purpose, Scope and Intended Audience of the Website
FinDraxy.info is an online entertainment publication. It reports on and comments on the entertainment industry, celebrity culture, film, television, streaming, music, theatre, awards seasons, red-carpet events, festival culture, media personalities and the wider popular culture conversation in South Africa and abroad. The site carries news, features, interviews, reviews, opinion pieces, photo galleries, video embeds, a blog and, where available, subscription offers for print and digital magazine editions.
The website is aimed at a general adult audience with an interest in entertainment and celebrity culture. It is not directed at children, and it is not designed to collect personal information from children. Some content may deal with adult themes, strong language, legal disputes, allegations of misconduct, or the private lives of public figures. We report such matters because they are newsworthy and because public figures have a reduced, though not extinguished, expectation of privacy in respect of matters that are genuinely in the public interest. If you are offended by critical commentary about public figures, this website may not be for you.
Content is published for information and entertainment purposes only. Nothing on this website is professional advice, an endorsement of any product or person, or a statement of fact about any individual beyond what is reported and attributed. Where we express opinion, we do so as opinion and not as fact.
5. Access To and Acceptable Use of the Website
You may browse the publicly available parts of this website free of charge. Access to subscriber-only content, digital editions and certain downloads requires a paid subscription and acceptance of the applicable subscription terms. We may add, change, restrict or withdraw features, sections, archives or content at any time.
When using the website you agree that you will not:
- use the website in a way that breaches any South African law, including the Cybercrimes Act 19 of 2020;
- copy, scrape, harvest, mirror, frame or systematically extract content, images, contributor names or contact data from the site without our written permission;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers, databases, subscriber accounts or administrative areas;
- introduce malware, denial-of-service traffic, automated bulk requests or any other code or activity designed to impair the site;
- post or transmit defamatory, hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene, misleading or unlawful material in comments, contest entries or messages to us;
- impersonate a journalist, editor, contributor, public figure or another user;
- use the site to send unsolicited commercial communications, or to advertise without our prior written consent; or
- infringe the rights of any person, including rights of privacy, dignity, personality and intellectual property.
You may quote short extracts from our articles for the purposes of fair dealing, criticism, review, reporting current events or private study, provided you attribute the extract to FinDraxy.info and, where practical, provide a plain reference to the article. Bulk reproduction, republishing entire articles, and commercial reuse of our photographs are not permitted without a licence. We may suspend or terminate access, remove comments, block users and cancel subscriptions in cases of serious or repeated misuse, without prejudice to any other remedy.
6. Ownership and Permitted Use of Content, Trademarks and Other Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including articles, headlines, features, reviews, opinion pieces, editorial photography, commissioned images, illustrations, layout, design, graphics, logos, video, audio, data compilations and the selection and arrangement of content, is owned by the publisher, its contributors, its licensors or its image partners, and is protected under the Copyright Act 98 of 1978 and, where applicable, foreign copyright law.
The name FinDraxy.info, the names of its magazine titles, its logos and its taglines are trade marks or common-law marks of the publisher or its licensors and are protected under the Trade Marks Act 194 of 1993. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation or partnership, or in a way that is likely to cause confusion, without our prior written consent.
Photographs of celebrities, events and red-carpet appearances are frequently supplied by third-party agencies and are licensed for a defined period and a defined territory. Where a licence expires or is withdrawn, the image is removed from the site. You may not save, screenshot, redistribute or republish those images. Requests for image licensing and syndication should be sent to help@findraxy.info and will be answered in writing.
If you believe that material on this website infringes your copyright or another intellectual property right, send a written complaint to help@findraxy.info or to our registered office at 23 Morris Street East, Woodmead, Sandton, 2196, South Africa. Your complaint should identify the work concerned, identify the material you say is infringing, give the location of that material on the site, explain your right or your authority to act, give your own details and a statement that the information you provide is accurate. We will investigate genuine complaints promptly, may remove or restrict access to the material while we do so, and will notify the person who supplied it where the law requires.
7. Accuracy, Availability and Proportionate Limitations of Liability
We take editorial accuracy seriously and we correct errors of substance when they are brought to our attention. We cannot, however, promise that every fact, quotation, date, spelling, figure or claim published on the website is complete, current or free from error. Entertainment reporting moves quickly and relies on interviews, public statements, statements by representatives, court papers, press releases and third-party reporting. Where a fact is disputed or unproven we try to say so, and where we publish allegations we try to attribute them. If you believe something we have published is wrong, tell us at help@findraxy.info and we will assess whether a correction, clarification, update or removal is appropriate.
The website is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or available at any particular time, that defects will be corrected immediately, or that the site or its servers are free from viruses or other harmful components. We may take the site offline for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue any part of it.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, and subject always to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data or loss of opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or from reliance on any content published on it. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that may not lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where a subscription is cancelled and a refund is due, the refund and cancellation rights in our Payment and Refund Policy and in the Consumer Protection Act apply, and they are not affected by the general limitations in this section.
8. External Links and Third-Party Content
The website contains links to third-party sites, embeds and players, including social media platforms, video hosting services, ticketing services, subscription management tools, image agencies and sources cited in our reporting. Those services are operated by other people and companies, not by us. We do not control them and we do not accept responsibility for their content, their accuracy, their security, their terms of use or the way they handle personal information.
Some third-party tools are embedded in our pages so that they work when you load the page. Examples include video players and social sharing buttons. These tools may set cookies or collect technical information about your device and your activity, and they may transfer that information outside South Africa. Details of the categories of tools we use and the basis on which they are loaded are set out in our Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy. Where a tool requires your consent before it loads, it will not load until you give that consent through the cookie banner.
Advertising and sponsored content on the site is clearly labelled where it is paid for. Sponsored content is subject to the same editorial standards as other content, but it is not independent editorial material and it should be read as commercial communication. Links marked as affiliate links may earn us a commission; they do not affect what we write or how we write it.
9. Related Policies That Form Part of This Notice
The following policies apply to your use of this website and should be read together with this page. They are available in plain text on the website and form part of the terms of use:
- the Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and what rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013;
- the Cookie Policy, which explains which cookies and similar technologies are used, whether they are strictly necessary, functional, analytical or advertising related, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent through the cookie banner or your browser settings;
- the Terms and Conditions, which set out the rules for browsing the website, using subscriber content, commenting, entering competitions and buying products or subscriptions;
- the Payment and Refund Policy, which explains accepted payment methods, billing cycles, cancellations, cooling-off rights, delivery of print editions, refunds and what happens if an issue arrives damaged or fails to arrive;
- the Competition Rules, which apply to every promotional competition we run and which set out eligibility, entry, prize, judging, notification and publicity provisions;
- the PAIA and POPIA Manual, which sets out the procedure for requesting access to records under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 and the procedures for data subject requests under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013;
- the Editorial and Corrections Policy, which explains how we handle complaints about accuracy, how corrections are published, and how we deal with requests to remove archived or indexed material.
Where a specific policy is silent on a topic, this page applies. Where a specific policy conflicts with this page, the specific policy applies to the extent of the conflict.
10. Applicable Law, Competent Courts and Consumer Dispute Rights
This website is operated from the Republic of South Africa and these terms, together with the related policies, are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to what is said below about consumer forums, you consent to the jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, or of any lower court with jurisdiction, in respect of any dispute arising out of or in connection with your use of this website.
If you are a consumer as defined in the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Consumer Commission, or with the relevant industry ombud, including the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, where the matter falls under that ombud's jurisdiction. You also have the right to approach a court, or the National Consumer Tribunal, where the Act allows it. Nothing in this notice takes away a right that the law gives you, including the right to cancel an online purchase within the cooling-off period provided for in section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or the rights in section 20 of the Consumer Protection Act relating to the return of goods.
If you believe that your personal information has been interfered with, or that we have failed to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) after giving us an opportunity to resolve the matter. If you are dissatisfied with a response to a request for access to information, the Promotion of Access to Information Act provides for an internal appeal and for a complaint to the Information Regulator.
We would much rather resolve a dispute directly with you first. Before approaching a regulator or a court, please write to help@findraxy.info with a clear description of the problem and the outcome you are seeking, and give us a reasonable opportunity to respond.
11. Contact Route, Changes to This Notice and Last-Updated Date
All enquiries, complaints, legal notices, takedown requests, licensing requests, data subject requests and requests for access to records should be sent by email to help@findraxy.info or by post to our registered office at 23 Morris Street East, Woodmead, Sandton, 2196, South Africa. The site also has a Contacts page with a contact form, which reaches the same team. We do not publish a telephone number and we do not accept legal process by telephone.
We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in the law, in our practices, or in the services we offer. The version published on this page is the current version and replaces all earlier versions. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give reasonable notice on the website or by email to registered subscribers. Continued use of the website after the effective date of a change means that you accept the updated notice. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
